A NYC based Nepalese artist, Ashesh Maharjan (b. 1988) explores relationships between opposites such as old versus new, eastern versus western and abstract versus figurative art. His most recognizable work consists of series of multicolored linocut prints which combines figures with abstract forms to create visual motion.
He received his BA degree in studio arts from Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2014. Since moving to New York in 2017 he has taken part in various group exhibitions such as "Works on paper" at CoreArt Space, Colorado, “Juried Show” at Prince Street Gallery and "Ephemeral Threads" at GalleryMC, Manhattan, New York.
This portfolio also consist of his most recent watercolor paintings and painted vases in collaboration with ceramic artist, Karen Viaene.
